The final day included the draw for the Diamond Rush 2009 promotion, which featured a 3300 dollar half Carat Diamond courtesy of Wendt’s Jewellery in Mildmay.
A Winner was drawn on each of the 1st 30 race days, and all 30 winners returned for lunch, and after race 9 it was announced that the lucky jewellery box was box number 10 which was picked by Linda Metcalf of Hanover.
Hanover Raceway also announced the winners of its Driver, Trainer and Horse awards.

The 2009 season included many rainy cold Saturdays but it also included a strong supporting cast of horses, horsemen and fans.
